160 Base Coat
W.R. Meadows 160 Base Coat is waterborne acrylic lacquer type sealer that displays high gloss with excellent adhesion to Comfortwalk tile. This premium quality sealer exhibits water resistance and dust reduction by forming a smooth,durable film. 160 Base Coat is a non-strippable sealer that has been pigmented black to help mask any joints or scratches in the surface of the tile. Sold by the pail. Size: 20L.
Applications
160 Base Coat is designed for use on interior industrial floors where a durable permanent finish is required. Base Coat eliminates construction dust from being ground into the surface of Comfortwalk floor tile. Base Coat provides a smooth, glossy base for 165 Top Coat floor finish.
Characteristics
160 Base Coat is easy to use, and facilitates fast and easy cleanup. It is designed for machine burnishing and conventional maintenance buffing.
Physical Properties
- Drying Time: Touch Dry- 3 Hours, and Firm Dry-24 Hours
- Application Temperature: 1 degree Celsius minimum
Safety Precautions
Basic solution: corrosive to skin, eyes and mucous membrane. Use in a well-ventilated area. Non-flammable at room temperature, but should be kept away from heat and fire hazards. Keep out of reach of children. For industrial use only.
Preparatory Work
Surface must be clean and sound. Substrate may be damp but not wet.
Installation Instructions
- Stir thoroughly before use
- Apply by sponge roller or squeegee
- Subsequent coats may be applied after 1.5 hours
- Apply frequent coats at a right angle to the first.
- Allow two days before application of 165 Top Coat.
- Use mineral spirits for cleanup.
